This is my 7th year teaching 5th grade at Chukker Creek Elementary.  This year I will be teaching math and science.   

This is my 16th year teaching in total.  I taught preschool in Wisconsin.  In North Carolina, I taught third, fourth and fifth grade.  Prior to teaching, I enjoyed a different career in marketing and fund-raising for non-profit organizations.  I worked in public relations and marketing for the Racine Zoological Society, the Journal Times, Central Piedmont Community College and PBS Friends.       

I have been married for over 30 years and have four wonderful children, two fabulous in-laws, one grandson and a granddaughter.  My two oldest children live in the Charlotte, NC area with their spouses.  My youngest is attending Winthrop University. 

I grew up in Racine, Wisconsin, one block away from Lake Michigan.  My first degree is in Communications from the University of Wisconsin.  I received my teaching degree from Queens University in Charlotte, NC. I also have a Gifted and Talented certificate from University of South Carolina Aiken.  

In the summer months, you will find me enjoying my family in either Wisconsin or North Carolina.  I also enjoy long walks in HItchcock Woods and reading a great book.
