OUR COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY

  • Ï㽶ӰÊÓ (ACPSD) is committed to website accessibility for all individuals, including individuals with disabilities.

As indicated in the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 and Title II, ACPSD is committed to ensuring that students, parents and members of the public with disabilities are able to independently acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same benefits and services within the same timeframe as those without disabilities, with substantially equivalent ease of use; and that they are not excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination in any Ï㽶ӰÊÓ programs, services, and activities delivered online.

In an effort to make website content more accessible to everyone, including individuals with visual, hearing, cognitive disabilities, and users of assistive technology, our District is adopting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and is committed to Level AA standards of web content on desktop and laptop computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Our District and school websites will transition to a new website platform over the coming months. New sites will go live ahead of the 2024-2025 school year. Accessibility will be the cornerstone of training and support as we make this transition and we are committed to a July 2024 deadline for the district and school websites to have met WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

Should you encounter any technology-based barriers to accessing our digital content, please take a moment to let us know so that we can ensure your access to the information, program, service or activity.
