• Nutritional Resources

    As the 2019-20 School Year comes to a close, Aiken County Public Schools has extended its nutrition services throughout the summer months. In partnership with the USDA, the Seamless Summer Program will provide free meals to all children 18 years old and younger at 18 designated sites located throughout the county.

    A grab-and-go meal bag containing breakfast and lunch will be available Monday-Thursday June 8th-July 31st for pick-up from 10:30 a.m.-noon at Aiken Elementary, Belvedere Elementary, Byrd Elementary, Chukker Creek Elementary, Clearwater Elementary, Busbee Elementary, East Aiken School of the Arts, Gloverville Elementary, Graniteville Elementary, Greendale Elementary, Hammond Hill Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Mossy Creek Elementary, North Aiken Elementary, Oakwood-Windsor Elementary, Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary, Warrenville Elementary, and Jackson STEM Middle Magnet.

    A parent/guardian must accompany elementary and middle school-aged children while picking up lunches. Additionally, any adult may purchase breakfast for $2.25 and lunch for $3.75. Free adult meals are available to those 19 years and older who have a physical or mental disability and are enrolled in school.

    Details about community organizations providing food to families in need will be located on our website acpsd.net under the Nutritional Resources tab of the Community Channel. Community organizations offering free meals to students and families are encouraged to email communications@acpsd.net to be included in that directory.

    , 340 Park Avenue SW, Aiken, provides a Food Pantry, a Medical Assistance Program and a Utitlity Assistance Program daily, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Please call (803) 642-5919 for more information.    

    , 646 E. Buena Vista Avenue, North Augusta, is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Food is available for those in need. Please come to the back enterance near Barton Road for no contact drive through service during the COVID-19 crisis, and somebody will come to your car. For more information please call (803) 279-5771.
