King Laurence serves as the Superintendent for the 香蕉影视.

King Laurence was named Superintendent of 香蕉影视 on February 18, 2020, after serving as interim superintendent since September 10, 2019. With an educational career spanning more than three decades, Laurence is an experienced administrator dedicated to the Aiken County community’s future. A graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education, Laurence received his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in 1990 from the University of South Carolina.

After twelve years as a teacher and assistant principal in Edgefield County Public Schools, Laurence moved to Aiken County in 1998, assuming the role as principal at Cyril B. Busbee Elementary. He has since served in a variety of leadership roles for Aiken County Public Schools, including Director of Federal Programs (2005-2012), Associate Superintendent for Instruction and Accountability (2012-2016), and Chief Officer of Administration and Human Resources (2016-2019).

On the state level, Laurence has been involved with the South Carolina Association of Title I Administrators, serving as that organization’s president from 2010-2011. He is a member of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA) and currently serves on the board of the South Carolina School Improvement Council.

Locally, Laurence is on the boards of the American Heart Association for the CSRA, the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce, and Our Community Salutes - Midlands. He is also a member of the Aiken County Commission for High Education, the Aiken County Commission for Technical and Comprehensive Education, and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Aiken-Sunrise. He is a former member of the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center Advisory Board, Education Matters, and was a charter member of the Aiken County First Steps Partnership Board of Directors.

Awards include the Robert E. Alexander Outstanding K-12 Administrator of the Year, the National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators State Leadership Award, and the South Carolina Improvement Council Advocate of the Year.

Laurence and his wife, Teri, have been married for more than 30 years and have two daughters. He is a Deacon and Sunday School Director for Shaws Fork Baptist Church, where Teri serves as Music Director and pianist.

Dr. Corey Murphy is the Chief Officer of Operations & Student Services for the 香蕉影视.

He oversees the day-to-day operations of the 香蕉影视’s departments and is also responsible for the Student Services division.

He has worked in education at the classroom, school, and district levels in a career covering 23 years. Prior to working for the District, he served as Chief of Staff for Williamsburg-James City-County Public schools in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Jennifer Hart is the Chief Officer of Human Resources & Administration for the 香蕉影视.

She oversees the recruitment, employment, support, evaluation, and retention of employees who meet the academic and extracurricular needs of our students. 

Prior to joining the school district, Ms. Hart, a native of Augusta, Georgia, had served as the Career Services Division and Community Director for Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) since 2011.     

She joined Aiken County Public Schools and the Department of Human Resources in May, and also provides district leadership through service to our community and schools.  

Tray Traxler is the Chief Officer of Finance for the 香蕉影视.

He supervises three departments – Business Services, Procurement and School Food Service. He also implements and tracks the District’s $270 million budget. More recently, he maintains financial oversight of the District’s new 1% Education Capital Improvement Sales & Use Tax. 

Mr. Traxler spent the first 10 years of his career in public accounting, where he specialized in audits of city and county governments and school districts. He currently serves on the Board of the South Carolina Association of School Business Officials (SCASBO).

Mr. Traxler joined the District in July 2007, and feels blessed to play a small role in the education of the District’s 24,000 students.

Dr. Amy Edwards serves as the Chief Officer of Instruction for the 香蕉影视.

She joined Aiken County Public Schools in August 2022 with over 25 years of experience serving students across South Carolina. She had previously served Aiken County as a mentor and coach for principals within the District and as Interim Principal at Aiken Scholars Academy. 

Dr. Edwards has held various leadership positions at the school, district, and state levels and has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and leadership development. Under her leadership, multiple school districts across the state have experienced tremendous leadership development and transformation.   

Eric Jeffcoat serves as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools for the 香蕉影视. 

He is responsible for administering and supervising the educational programs for half of the district’s 21 elementary schools, including Byrd Elementary School, Cyril B. Busbee Elementary School, Freedman Early Learning Center, Gloverville Elementary School, Graniteville Elementary School, Greendale Elementary School, Mossy Creek Elementary School, Oakwood-Windsor Elementary School, Redcliffe Elementary School, Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary School, and Warrenville Elementary School.

Julie Revelle serves as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools for the 香蕉影视. 

She is responsible for administering and supervising the educational programs for half of the district’s 21 elementary schools, including Aiken Elementary School, Belvedere Elementary School, Chukker Creek Elementary School, Clearwater Elementary School, East Aiken School of the Arts, Hammond Hill Elementary School, J.D. Lever Elementary School, Jefferson Elementary School, Millbrook Elementary School, North Aiken Elementary School, North Augusta Elementary School, and XSEL. 

Dr. Phyllis Gamble serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Middle Schools for the 香蕉影视. 
                                              
She ensures that the policies, procedures, and initiatives of the School Board related to middle school education are advanced in a safe, orderly, and purposeful environment on all middle school campuses. 

Bert Postell serves as the Assistant Superintendent of High Schools for the 香蕉影视. 

Mr. Postell supervises eight high schools, the District’s career center and the Center For Innovative Learning at Pinecrest.

He has extensive experience in educational leadership at both the classroom and school levels, spanning nearly two decades. Prior to working for the District, he served as a middle school and high school teacher, assistant principal, and most recently as the principal of Silver Bluff High School. 

Postell also served in the United States Army Field Artillery as a Fire Direction Officer, Fire Support Officer and Battery Supply Officer. He later served as a Transportation Company Commander in the United States Army Reserve. 

Mrs. Beth Taylor is the Assistant Superintendent of Special Programs for the 香蕉影视.

Ms. Merry Glenne Piccolino is the Director of Communications and Community Partnerships for the 香蕉影视.
