MISSION STATEMENT: At Freedman Early Learning Center, we work in partnership with families to meet the learning and developmental needs of the children we serve. Our school strives to facilitate each child’s optimal growth and development through positive and supportive learning environments, interactions, and experiences.
Early Care and Education
- An age-appropriate education to prepare children for success in school and life experiences
- Incorporating parents into the day-to-day process of educating their children
Early Learning Program Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 3:00 pm
When Aiken County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Freedman Early Learning Center will be closed also. Check local radio and television stations for updates on school closings.
The center will be closed on the following dates:
- September 5 (Labor Day)
- October 17-21 (Fall Break)
- October 28 (Teacher Workday/Parent Teacher Conferences)
- November 7 District Professional Development Day
- November 8 (General Election)
- November 23-25 (Thanksgiving Break)
- December 19-30 (Winter Break)
- January 3 (Teacher Workday/Weather Make-Up Day)
- January 16 (Martin Luther King Jr., Holiday)
- February 3 (District Professional Development Day)
- February 20 (Presidents' Day Holiday)
- April 3-7 (Spring Break)
- May 29 (Memorial Day)
