• Aiken County Schools highly encourages district middle and high school orchestra programs to participate in adjudicated events sponsored by the South Carolina Music Educator's Association (SCMEA).

    These events include:

    • Region Orchestra Auditions & Clinic
    • All-State Orchestra Auditions & Clinic
    • Concert Performance Assessment
    • Solo & Ensemble

    The philosophy behind encouraging programs to participate in adjudicated events is based upon the fact that directors and students receive immediate feedback from professional music educators about things they are doing well and things they can improve upon. The purpose is for the teacher to take the information that is provided and to use it to further improve their program.
