Discovery Education
Discovery Education Experience offers dynamic K-12 curriculum resources combined with on-demand instructional strategies. Discovery Education Experience is available for all students in Aiken County. Students are automatically rostered. Teachers can incorporate prebuilt materials when planning instruction, build interactive lessons, or research effective instructional strategies. (1/27/22)

DreamBox is a K-8 digital math solution available for ACPSD’s K-5 students that complements classroom curriculum and offers students interactive and engaging lessons and games that help to promote learning, deeper understanding, and math confidence. Enrich
is an online application that provides access to student educational records, including IEPs and 504 plans. Enrich can be accessed from the digital resources portal on the district home page.Select the relevant home school, and enter your email address and your network password to access materials.
As a reminder, the acceptable use policy states “I will not use personal devices to access students' personally identifiable information.” Employees should not download IEP’s, 504 Plans, etc. on personal devices.

Instruction Hub (Safari Montage)
Safari Montage is a learning object repository (LOR) provided by the South Carolina Department of Education. The contains thousands of digital resources aligned to SC Standards from a variety of vendors/organizations (i.e. Discovery Education, PBS, National Geographic, A&E, Reading Rockets) in grades K-12. Educators are crafting standards-aligned content for use in SC schools. Teachers can share post individual learning objects from a variety of digital locations to their students using link or send full playlists. Learning objects and playlists can also can be added to Schoology courses.

Learning Blade’s interactive toolbox features over 400 online and downloadable lessons that connect your students to more than 100 STEM and Computer Science careers and technologies. ABE
Alternative Behavior Education (ABE) is the district's system for monitoring student behavior. Teachers use ABE to document and report behavior. Administrators use ABE to manage behavior and determine consequences.
ABE offers behavior intervention plans, behavior assessments and secure paperless referrals.

Adobe Creative Cloud
Aiken Career and Technology Center has purchased for All high schools Adobe Creative Cloud to be utilized in their CATE courses. Each school has licenses available based on course needs. Students enrolled in these courses must be added to an Active Directory group to gain access to login to the program. This enrollment is not automatic and completed at the beginning of each school year. A help ticket will need to be created for students needing access to the Adobe Creative Cloud in one of their courses.
Federal Programs has purchased for Visual Arts classes Adobe Creative Cloud to be utilized in the Visual Arts Classrooms. Students enrolled in these courses must be added to an Active Directory group to gain access to login to the program. is a single sign on service that allows students secure access to educational programs. Many programs offer rostering, automatically generating student profiles for easy access.

Collage
Collage is a wireless screen sharing tools used to connect the Clear Touch panel and a device?. Teachers and administrators can connect their device to the Clear Touch panels using codes provided on the panel. Panel operators can accept or reject any connection to authorize. Additionally, users can choose to have the panel mirror their screen’s display, or users can send the panel’s android display to their device. The Collage software must be downloaded onto the device in order to connect to the panel. (2/1/2022) If the application is not on you laptop, tablet, or iPad, you will need to enter a for a technician to install.

Destiny Library
is the district wide catalog of media center resources. The catalog can be accessed from the district digital resources page. A link is also provided in Clever. Student enrollments are updated nightly in this system. (1/27/22)

DyKnow
DyKnow is a cloud-based classroom management software that allows teachers to monitor student devices and manage digital access to sites and programs. The tool helps teachers check on students’ Internet usage in classrooms and improve their classroom performance and behavior. The application provides an option for teachers to block certain websites or other web content that they think is objectionable or distracting, and should not be accessed by students.
Log into the URL dyknow.me, by clicking "log in with Dyknow ID." Use your school email address as your username. If using DyKnow for the first time, click forgot password to have password reset instructions sent to your school email address.

Ellevation
organizes all English Learner (EL) information and data into one dashboard. It allows teachers, ESOL teachers, testing coordinators, and administrators to collaborate on individual EL instruction plans and goals, and access assessment data. Teachers can access the student’s EL plan in Ellevation which includes Modifications/Accommodations, Goals, and Can Do Descriptors. Only ESOL students will appear in Ellevation as this program was purchased specifically for ESOL students.

Ellevation InClass
Ellevation Strategies (InClass) is a digital toolkit of classroom activities that can be used by classroom teachers to incorporate language instruction into existing content lessons. Each strategy has a how to section and examples of how to use the strategy across different grades levels and content areas. There are also resources available such as graphic organizers, sentence stems, vocabulary cards, etc. Each strategy contains modification examples for proficiency levels to help teachers with differentiated instruction.
Ellevation InClass is accessible through the Clever Dashboard for teachers only. ESOL teachers and administrators should access Ellevation through the Ellevation link in the Clever Dashboard.

Aiken County offers faculty, staff and student subscriptions to Office 365. Each user is authorized to install Office 365 on up to five devices per profile. District subscription allows access to Office apps such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Forms. (1/27/22)

The Curriculum Program demonstrates the cohesive framework of our curriculum while providing comprehensive access to components such as the Unit Summary and Essential Questions.
The Unit Summary provides a brief overview of the content by grade level. Essential Questions are questions which focus on the concepts taught and which require reasoning, application, and evaluation.

SAM / Reading Inventory
The Reading Inventory (RI) is a research-based, reading assessment that measures students’ level of reading comprehension and reports it using the Lexile Framework® for Reading. The score from this test helps teachers place students on the correct educational path, adjust their teaching style to students’ needs, track students’ reading growth over time, and match readers to books appropriate for their skills.

Schoology
is Aiken County's learning management system that offers powerful technology at all grade levels to organize content, engage students, and connect to families. It is changing the way our teachers communicate online with students and families.
Courses and users are provisioned from the Power School SIS. Teachers can share instructional materials with colleagues, students and parents. Teachers collect and grade submissions on both the web and mobile application. Not just a learning management system, it is a space for delivering professional development to faculty and staff. Password protected, parents can view assignment progress and student grades using unique student codes.

South Carolina Career Information System (SCOIS) offers a vast array of Career Development products and services. Students in Aiken County can prepare themselves for post-secondary institutions and future careers.
SCOIS is an on-line system and you need a password to enter. You will have access to several Career Assessments, College Information, Occupational Information, College Major Information, Career Clusters, School Subjects matched to careers, Financial Aid Information, Private Trade Schools, Career Videos, Building and Posting Resumes, Career Electronic Portfolios, Salary and Outlook information on Careers, Lesson Plans for Teachers, Career Guidance Tools for Parents, Accountability Reports for Administrators and much much more.

SMART notebook
This software has reached the end of its support from the company. The software does not work consistently on Windows 10. The district will have licenses for SMART Notebook through May 31, 2023. It is advised that teachers begin to transition their instructional materials to other supported products: Office 365 products, Schoology and/or Snowflake.

Snowflake (The App): The interactive software installed on every teacher’s device that works in conjunction with Clear Touch panels to provide interactivity to lessons through district issued teacher devices. Open Snowflake on your device and project your screen using an HDMI cable or project wirelessly using a Collage code. Launch Snowflake apps and learning activities in the classroom. Additionally, teachers can create new/open saved whiteboards, browser, bookmarked site, YouTube, or load/access course materials all in one place.

Teams (Microsoft Teams)
Microsoft Teams is the district's preferred teleconferencing tool. Offering chat, video calls, and virtual meetings, Teams is ideal for screensharing and remote calling colleagues alike. Power School provisions class teams. Teachers must first activate Teams in order for students to access the class. Teachers can set up the calendar and live meetings in Teams.

Big Ideas Math (Larson Texts)
Big Ideas is a curriculum available to our teachers serving students in grades K-5.
*First time teacher login: teachers will be notified that a book has yet to be assigned. Click “okay” and then select the class on the left-hand side for which the textbook should be assigned.
If the teacher is self-contained, it is best to add the book to the class that is listed as “Advisor/Advisee”.
If the teacher instructs multiple classes in the content of math, assign the correct book to each math class.
For each class that needs a book assigned, select the class, click on “book,” “Choose a book,” select the correct grade level book then select “Save Changes” on the right-hand side of the screen.
