• Welcome to Advanced Clinical

      Welcome!

      Any student taking Advanced Clinical has already completed Health Science 1, Health Science 2 and either Health Science 3 or medical terminology and Health Science 4. This course is designed for seniors who want to also earn a work-based learning dual credit. This course allows students to engage in educational healthcare clinical hours as well as work in a clinical setting. 

      In this course, students will prepare for an additional certification exam of their choice. Students have the opportunity to engage in clinical skills with real hands-on medical world training in the area in which they choose to explore. We have partnered with Aiken Regional Medical Center, University of South Carolina Aiken and other nearby facilities to offer extensive hands-on training. 

      At the completion of the program, students will have a portfolio that will allow them to stand out and be substantially more marketable.

      Most students will have earned:

        • CPCT
        • Choice of additional certification: Pharmacy Tech, EKG, or Phlebotomy
        • CPR and First Aid
        • Stop the Bleed Training
        • OSHA-10 Healthcare Certification
