Aiken County Public Schools is offering free breakfast and lunch at six schools this summer provided by the United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA) Seamless Summer Program, allowing children under the age of 18 years old to receive meals regardless of income.

The Seamless Summer Program is open Monday through Thursday, through August 4, 2022; however, the program will not provide meals the week of July 4, 2022.

Students may pick up food at Midland Valley High School, North Augusta High School, Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High School, Silver Bluff High School, or A.L. Corbett Middle School. Meals at Aiken High School will only be served on site and will not be packaged for carryout.

“We are proud to continue offering healthy food options over the summer months,” stated Karen Johnson, Director of Child Nutrition for Aiken County Public Schools. “It’s so important for students to maintain a healthy diet as their bodies develop, and we hope local families take advantage of this program to provide adequate nutrition.”

Breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch is served from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at each campus. Adults are welcome to purchase breakfast and lunch as well. Each breakfast for anyone over 18 years of age will be $2.60 and lunch will be $4.10.
