• INTERESTED IN 2023-24 ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OPENINGS?

ACPSD employees interested in being considered for an Assistant Principal position in the 2023-2024 school year are invited to participate in the Aspiring Administrator Academy. This newly-enhanced workshop series is designed to prepare Aiken County’s admin-certified educators as well as those currently pursuing certification for a successful transition into school administration.

The first Academy session will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. at the District Office on October 27, with subsequent sessions on November 17, January 19, February 16, and March 23. The program is designed to prepare an internal applicant pool for the interview process and for their future role in school administration. Annual participation in the Aspiring Administrator Academy is a prerequisite for the assistant principalship interview pool from which new assistant principals will be hired.

Interested candidates must submit an application packet through our hiring portal online ahead of the application deadline of next Wednesday, October 12. To apply, employees will submit a current resume and South Carolina Administrator Licensure or statement of anticipated licensure, and will be prompted to complete the Administrator EPI (Educators Professional Inventory) Assessment. To access the Aspiring Administrators Academy application, visit our Hiring Webpage and navigate to Internal Job Openings > Administration > Aspiring Administrator Academy. Please be sure to log into the site at the top of the page or create an account by following the link for “CURRENT EMPLOYEES.”
