Mr. Brian Silas is deeply rooted in the Midland Valley-area community with a passion to make Aiken County Public Schools the very best in South Carolina.

Mr. Silas is a lifelong resident of Area Three, and attended Clearwater Elementary, Jefferson Junior High, and Midland Valley High School. He is a proud member of the Midland Valley High School graduating Class of 1984, the first class of students to attend all four years of high school at Midland Valley.

Mr. Silas is a 1988 graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Professionally, he has served as Global Operations Manager for FLSmidth, Inc. in Evans, Georgia, since 2006.

Mr. Silas and his wife, Diana, have two sons, Brett and Zac. The family attends Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville.
