Aiken High School

  • AHS AUXILIARY GYM

Following completion of Phase 2A of construction in the fall of 2017 and a dedication ceremony in December of that same year, Aiken High School now has a beautiful new 152,633-square-foot facility, featuring new classrooms, a new media center and dining area, and business labs to compliment the previously completed Math and Science Wing.

Phase 2B of the Aiken High project was completed in late 2019 and included a new auxiliary gym and classrooms for art, sewing and child care, culinary arts, ROTC and band and chorus.

Phase 3 of the Aiken High project was completed in early 2020 and included a renovation of the James A. Taylor Gymnasium. The school's final building project - phase 4 - will add a new, 720-seat auditorium behind the ROTC and music classrooms and upgrades and renovations to the career technology and vocational wing west of the auxiliary gym.
