    This agency helps get services for persons meeting the eligibility criteria for the Mental Retardation Division or the Autism Division of the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN). Some service funding may only be available through the MR/RD Home and Community-Based Waiver. Ask the agency for additional information about this waiver. This agency also provides early intervention services and funding for day care for children with disabilities even though the children may not be DDSN eligible.

    Bright Start has been serving Aiken County for 8 years. Our Early Intervention services include family training, service coordination, and infant massage. Our EIs serve children with a wide variety of needs. Bright Start has Early Interventionists who have years of experience in working with children with autism. This experience helps the EIs to focus on resources in the community for these children and families.

    Our Aiken staff has developed a strong network of therapy providers and other professionals in the community. Our EIs in the Aiken area have also built strong connections with the school district and this makes transition to school services go
    smoothly for families and children. These relationships are essential to serving our families in the best way.

    Clear Vision Community Services, LLC

    A private or public agency usually under local government jurisdiction, responsible for assuring the delivery of community based mental health, mental retardation, substance abuse and/or behavioral health services to individuals with those disabilities. Services may range from companion care, respite, transportation, community integration, crisis intervention and stabilization, supported employment, day support, prevocational services, residential support, therapeutic and supportive consultation, environmental modifications, intensive in-home therapy and day treatment, in addition to traditional mental health and behavioral treatment.

    KID IN DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

    Provide you with educational information about your infant's/toddler's developmental milestones. 
    Work with you and your family in your infant's/toddler's natural environment (ex: home, daycare, grandma's house)
    Support you and your family with fun strategies and activities to use throughout your infant/toddler's everyday routines (ex: bathtime, mealtime, playtime)
    Assist you in locating, accessing, and utilizing other available resources in your local community, state, and/or nationwide. 
    Facilitate the development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)  that will lay out what your priorities are for your infant/toddler and your family.
    Coordinate with your medical home (your infant/toddler's pediatrician and other medical providers)

    Our Case Management Department helps you and your family navigate and facilitate enrollment in Department of Disabilities and Special Needs services.

    ?Our Case Managers are independent advocates that assist families by: identifying and addressing needs and concerns, monitoring and evaluating services, constructing lifelong plans, providing information and support, creating and developing opportunities, coordinating resources, educating the community, and assuring plan achievement.
