Welcome to Mr. Spears' history classes, this year I will have four honors US History Classes and two Introduction to Aviation classes  .  This will be my 16th year teaching Social Studies and my eighth at NAHS.  I am the faculty advisor for Student Government, Homecoming Chairman, Head Golf Coach and assistant clay shooting team coach.  I am from Augusta, GA where I attended Aquinas High School.  While there I earned an NCAA athletic scholarship in rifle shooting as well as played golf.  I shot rifle and earned my B.A. from the University of Tennessee Martin.  I also have a Masters in Education and a Specialists in Educational Leadership from Augusta University.  My wife is also a teacher, she teaches second grade at Hammond Hill.   We live in North Augusta with our three daughters (twins who are 10th graders at NAHS and a 4th grader at HHE).  Outside of the classroom I have a passion for aviation, I have my pilots license and own a small airplane that I enjoy taking family trips in.  GO JACKETS!
