Ms. Steinman

2023-2024 will be my seventh year teaching at North Augusta High School. I will be teaching Creative Writing in Mythology and English 3 Honors. I was born in Iowa but raised in Alaska. Speaking of Alaska, I moved to Aiken County from the Matanuska Susitna Borough and have been trying to adjust to the much, much hotter climate. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are from the University of Alaska Anchorage; go Seawolves! I have a 25-year-old daughter, Rian, who still lives in Alaska. While she loves the sunshine and beaches of S.C., she isn't ready to leave the frozen tundra yet. I also have a feisty tuxdeo cat named Shiro.

I was lucky enough to study abroad for a summer during my undergraduate in Paris, France, which started a love affair with traveling. Outside of the classroom, some of my interests are reading, writing, photography, knitting, traveling, and video games.
