Hola,

My name is Hegddy K. Pabón-Serrano , I am 41 years old and originally from Puerto Rico. On January 2022,  I joined the North Augusta family as the Multilingual Learners Program Specialist (formerly known as ESOL Teacher).  I have always had a passion for teaching and, over the years, having a great connection with my students and seeing how they grow intellectually and personally has helped increase that passion in me.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach our NAHS Multilingual Learners (MLs) and to help them acquire the English language in order to help them succeed in their high school years and future plans.  

My qualifications include a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Education from the Metropolitan University in Puerto Rico and also the SCDE Spanish Certification with an ESOL Endorsement.   

On my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, watching movies, and traveling.  I am the mother of three sons ages 17, 14, and 13.  They are active in soccer and school bands, so most of the time you will see me out there cheering, supporting and enjoying their performances. 

I am looking forward to a new teaching year full of exciting experiences and great memories with our NAHS family and students and, most of all, with our Multilingual Learners.
