DELL Tech Crew Featured

North Augusta High’s Dell Student TechCrew  were showcased at Dell Technologies World Conference in Las Vegas. The TechCrew program has garnered widespread acclaim for its innovative approach to student involvement in technology support and services. Since the NAHS program launched in August 2021, the NAHS TechCrew has made remarkable strides, with over 250 students earning their Dell certification. This certification equips students with the necessary skills to assist district technology in repairing student laptops for schools in the NA area. Impressively, the dedicated student technicians have collectively completed nearly 1700 repairs for ACPSD student laptops in just three years, showcasing their commitment to excellence and service. Participation in the Dell TechCrew is reserved for students enrolled in either the Computer Repair & Service or Advanced Computer Repair & Service courses. Successful completion of these courses, along with the prerequisite, earns students the esteemed title of CTE pathway completer. Many graduates of the program have seamlessly transitioned into IT jobs or pursued further education in technology-related fields at colleges and universities. Now in its fifth year, the Dell Student TechCrew program has expanded globally, empowering high school students worldwide to gain valuable hands-on experience in technology support. Currently, Aiken County Public Schools stands as the only school district in South Carolina and the CSRA to host this program, with North Augusta High School having the largest TechCrew in operation.
