    WELCOME TO FORENSICS!

I am really looking forward to the new school year and getting to know you all!

Forensics is the application of science (chemistry, physics, and biology) to the criminal and civil laws that are enforced by police agencies in the criminal justice system. It includes the investigation of fingerprinting, fiber analysis, arson, trace evidence analysis, poisons, drugs, blood spatters, and blood samples. Students are taught the proper collection, preservation, and laboratory analysis of various samples. I am very excited about engaging my students in forensics. This is a course rich in exploration and lab investigation which applies many disciplines of scientific study, such as biology/anatomy, chemistry, and physics, to solving crimes.

I believe your experience in forensics will be one to remember, as the cases are fascinating, the labs  are very engaging and hands-on, and the content a satisfying application of all sciences studied up to this point. Please actively participate in class, complete all assignments on time, and study regularly outside of class.

I am looking forward to working with you this year and hopefully peaking a great interest in forensics for you all!
